Job description

The Role

As a System Engineer at Hiyv, you keep our customers' IT infrastructure stable, so their business processes run without disruption. You manage Microsoft 365 workplace and Azure environments using standardised service management processes, and you find and implement improvements along the way.

You work in our Operations team alongside support desk engineers, service managers, project managers and consultants, and in direct contact with customers, suppliers and partners. The role is open to medior and senior engineers: the more experience you bring, the more complex the changes, projects and advice you take on.


What you will do:

Operations and support

  • Monitor capacity, availability and log files to prevent disruptions before they happen

  • Provide second-line support to end users

  • Resolve incidents within agreed service levels and solve the underlying problems

  • Escalate issues and complaints in time, and keep customers informed on incidents, changes and problems

Changes and improvements

  • Translate customers' functional needs into technical solutions, including scope and budget

  • Carry out hardware and software changes in line with the change management process, from medium-complex to complex

  • Run health checks and advise on improvements and on the impact of changes across the environment

Workplace

  • Manage and optimise Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID and device management

  • Support Citrix and Liquit workplace environments

  • Analyse and resolve structural workplace issues

Azure

  • Administer and secure customer Azure environments

  • Implement changes with Terraform


Projects

  • Give technical input to project managers on project plans

  • Carry out project activities, and act as a sparring partner for lead consultants on complex projects


Documentation and administration

  • Keep technical documentation, work instructions and CMDBs up to date

  • Record your time and all relevant information in our tooling and portals

Job requirements

What are we looking for:

Must-have:

  • 3+ years of experience in system engineering or IT infrastructure operations 

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or an equivalent level of working and thinking

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID

  • Experience administering Azure environments

  • Experience with IT service management processes such as incident, problem and change management

  • Strong spoken and written English

Nice to have:

  • Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) or Security, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)

  • For senior candidates: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300) or Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) 

  • HashiCorp Terraform Associate

  • Experience with Citrix and Liquit (we provide Liquit training)

  • An ITIL or similar service management certification

Location

The role is based in Sofia, Bulgaria. It is a full-time position with a hybrid working model.
